Calliope Farm is a small scale CSA and market garden located on the Delmarva Peninsula of Maryland. We specialize in organically grown, open-pollinated, heirloom and regional fruits and vegetables as well as many ethnic and exotic varieties, all chosen for qualities of flavor, nutrition and adaptability. Our approach to farming is based on the desire to sustain the land that sustains us. We do this by caring for and improving the soil with the use of cover crops, mineral amendments, and compost, minimizing our use of fossil fuels, providing habitat for biological diversity, and by saving our own seeds. By engaging in practices that promote adaptability in a myriad of changing conditions we feed our members, and our community, healthy, delicious and responsibly raised food year-round.
